How in the world did this book average 4+ stars? This book is a meaningless meander of catastrophes that befall humankind. There are „scientific“ explanations of what happens, which, even given this is a ScFi novel, seem to be totally unrealistic!A good hard science fiction book, but not a masterpiece
It was interesting to read a postscript from the translator of this novel in which he discusses the problem of how to give the English version a Chinese flavour!
Actually, it’s probably the first Chinese book I’ve ever read. The Three-Body Problem (Remembrance of Earth's Past (1)) Well written and well translated too.
If you like standard scifi, find something lighter. Prior to becoming a writer, he worked as an engineer.
