Richard Burton co-directed (along with Nevill Coghill) this labor of love that records a performance given by Burton at Oxford University in 1966 of Christopher Marlowe's 400-year-old verse play. Cinemark Couldn't find a pulse in a single actor in this, even the ones that weren't meant to be un-dead. The sets, costumes and music--especially the music--are all first rate and some of the acting can't be bettered. The spy who put it there has in the meantime fallen in love for real.
